Nothing, unless you expressly ask to sign up for other services available on the The English Claim of Right website (e.g. email updates). We will use your email address to confirm your signature and, unless you ask us not to, we will also send you a maximum of two responses per year to the issues raised in The English Claim of Right. More than one person shares my email address — can we sign The English Claim of Right? I'm afraid that there is a trade-off to be made between allowing anyone to sign the regardless of having an email address, and protecting the webiste from too much abuse. We have come down on the side of using one email address per person to act as an anti-abuse mechanism because it is now possible for anyone to get an email address for free in a few moments. On the converse, if we let people use one address to sign multiple times we will likely see considerable fake signatures almost straight away. Who has paid for this website and why have they done it? We are a small group of Englishmen who have worked together to construct and adminster this website and The English Claim of Right. We have pledged to administer The English Claim of Right in a fair and non-partisan way for the benefit of all the people of England. We believe that the present constitutional arrangements for the UK are inherently uunfair and discriminatory against England. We expect that The English Claim of Right will in time assist in causing all candidates standing for public office in England, of whatever political persusion, to consider whether they are giving proper priority to England and the political representation of her people and what part they should personally play in calling for an English Constituional Convention with the objective of reviving the English Parliament.
What happens to the money donated?
The donations are used by The England Society specifically to run The English Claim of Right and other English projects. If you wish to donate to a specific project, please let us know. We do not take any money for salaries, lunches or taxis nor do we employ our family members. Why should candidates sign the ECOR? If I sign the The English Claim of Right when will it become known to the public? We intend to update The English Claim of Right every day of the year. Can I sign The English Claim of Right and then require my signature to be withdrawn? Yes, but we will require some written evidence of your identity first before removing your name.
